Okay I can't remember who I got this idea from, or how it started, but I order free samples all the time online from different places, and those free samples go in our family 72 hour kits. One of the cheapest ways to be prepared. I also never pass up a chance to grab all the soaps and samples in our many hotel stays, which totally embarrasses Pres and the kids. Anyways. Plus Walmart lets you order as many samples as you want. I just order one, and then wait till I receive the sample and then order another one. They change them probably once a week. Any extra samples go in the sample boxes in our closet labeled: soaps, shampoo & conditioner, medicines, makeup & perfumes, and misc boxes! Plus, I cannot even count how many times we ran out of something on Sunday, and were able to go to our sample box and grab a dishwasher tab, or a bottle of shampoo, or conditioner!

I remember seeing your sample boxes in your garage when I was staying with you in Killeen. It was awe-inspiring. I might one day get it together and copy your idea, but I haven't yet. More's the shame!
ooo thanks for the reminder- I haven't checked it out in a while and there are some new ones!
72hr. packs are alot easier to keep up with than 1 year of food storage. and besides they are fun. use them up ever so often for fhe - pretend you are having an emergency! eat all the stuff- update the clothing.
