Okay my neighbor came over for a minute, and told me she chased a huge raccoon out of my garbage can. So I went to the back door to look out there, and noticed that the freakishly large raccoon, was just waiting at the edge of the forest behind our house. So Jake, and Travis, and I were very still and watched him sneak back to our garbage can. Every morning when we wake up there are paw prints all over my garbage can, so I wanted to see how the raccoon got in there. So we watched, and he climbed up the fence, and lifted the lid, and jumped down in the garbage can. As soon as the lid closed, I ran down there and put a bunch of my left over planting bricks on top of the garbage can. Then Jake and Travis came down and started kicking the garbage can! Okay I did once or twice too. He never moved or made a sound. So then I got on the internet to find the animal control number , and it says never trap, or corner a raccoon because they are vicious. Okay so now what do I do. Tomorrow is garbage day, and I think I will put a sign on my garbage can to warn my garbage man. I will try to get a picture of the raccoon getting out. Yikes! They used to only come out at night, but now they are coming out in the middle of the day, and aren't too scared of people anymore which isn't a good sign!By the way our raccoons are about three times the size of this raccoon in the picture! It is like the size of a dog.

Aw man that is so funny. I like that you admitted you kicked it a few times too. Go Katy! Get it on video that would be so funny to see.
Now there's a story you don't hear every day. Your kids probably think you're the coolest if you kicked a trash can w/a raccoon in it. That's so funny!
oooh. That gave me the chills. Large, dirty animal ready to claw my eyes out...not a pretty picture. (p.s. I think it would have surprised me more if you DIDN'T kick the can while the raccoon was stuck inside. Come one, that just wouldn't be Katy!)
uncle mike hates raccoons. they eat his chickens. bad varmints. did animal control pick it up? they're cute in the cartoons.
