Mom did you really do this for me?
The diapers, the dishes, the all night crusades? The stories and peek a boos and picnic escapades?
Did you pray these same prayers, and cry these same tears, and keep on loving me all through the years?
How did you find time to love more than just me? Being a mom isn't easy, I see.
But if I try hard to do just what you do
Maybe someday she'll love me .......the same way I love you.

Gotta love mommies. I am finally hitting that point in motherhood where I have decided if I am a great mom at least like hmmm 75% of the time. Then that's good enough for me.
Preston told me the other after I just finished being a "stern mom" to Paden that I reminded him of you Katy. I took that as a great compliment. I told him... Hmmm I'm good with that :)
ya know, i don't remember being particularly unhappy being the mother of seven . . . but i remember having lots of fun and feeling very happy that i was home with my kids. (most of the time anyway). guess i should say that i was always thankful that i was a stay at home mom - tho' i frequently skipped out on all of you. all those drudgery tasks - was just part of the whole beautiful picture.
