7 random things about me..............

When I am stressed, or sad, or mad I clean. The vacuum is my favorite tool. It is calming to me. I like to vacuum first thing in the morning after the kids leave for school, and then again after I put all the kids to bed. It doesn't always happen, but that is my "schedule" that I like to follow. The hardest thing ever was when I had stomach surgery and could not vacuum. I would walk into the living room and beg Preston to vacum every day like I was used to. He would just vacum the spot I complained about. I would kindly try to explain to him that I liked it vacuumed in lines. Yeah that didn't happen. Needless to say that was the first thing I did when I was completely healed, and I had missed it severely!

I don't think I will ever be too old for loud music. This is another thing that calms me. I have already had a warning here on post for having my music too loud in my truck. The next time I will get a ticket $300. Yikes! Here are a few of my favorite people...Hinder, Coldplay, Nickelback, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Akron, Avril Lavigne, Gwen Stefani,
Maroon 5, and lots lots more!

I love paperwork. I used to volunteer in college to do everyone's taxes. I would do financial aid for my friends and family. I am constantly making to do lists for every occassion. I even found a couple of to do lists that I wrote up when I was little, not only for myself, but for mom. When I was about 10 I used to listen to the top 40 countdown on the radio, and listen very carefully and write down the name of the song, and the artist and anything they mentioned about the artist. I would just compile these lists week after week. I am such a nerd!

I wish we could have had more kids. Don't really care whether it was two more boys, or two girls. Just wish I could give my kids the same experience growing up that I had. I loved being in a big family, still do. Pres & I would really like to adopt two more kids. Just kind of waiting for them to fall into my lap I guess.

I can't stand not sharing how much a good deal costs. For instance at church this past Sunday we were talking about being frugal. I had to stand up and tell everyone that I got my dress for only $3.00 at walmart. It is the cutest dress! I absolutely love it. That is another thing that drives Preston crazy. He says when someone tells me they like my dress I should just say thank you, instead of telling them it only cost $3. I had so many compliments on that dress too!

I love to explore. Drop me in the middle of a new town anyday, and let me just research, plan, and find all the best places. I love it. Guess that is why I love to move. I am already researching and planning for when we move to Anchorage, Alaska in February 2008.

I am, as my brother in law PJ puts it, a professional window shopper. I love the researching, and finding the best deal, but that is where it stops. I have been looking for a new car for over two years now. I have found plenty of amazing deals, but when it comes down to signing on the dotted line. I would rather keep my money! It took me almost two years to find a dining room table that I liked. Preston got sick of waiting and went to Lowe's and bought the long fold out table with matching chairs, like a craft table. He set it up in the dining room. I nearly had a fit. I was so afraid it would stay there. I found a table a few weeks later!
** Okay and here is a bonus one just for you mom........yes I regret not sticking with my piano lessons. As soon as mom gave me the option I quit, just because I could. I wish I would have stayed with it. Preston wants me to put all the boys in piano lessons, so go ahead and say it mom.....I TOLD YOU SO!

Yeah. Thanks for doing it sis. It's fun to read all those strangely interesting facts about my anal older sister Katy whom I share quite a few anal habits with. :) My kids actually request the music to be "louder mom, louder".
Too funny. I remember piano lessons, too. I can still play the Snake Dance (which was my recital piece), but THAT'S IT! Wish I could really play...
Vacuuming is by far my favorite chore, too. Only I'm not as excessive as you. You'd die if you saw all the stains on my carpet. Lets see a pic of your $3 Walmart dress!
I'm so gald you did this! We have a lot of things in common- except how I wish cleaning was relaxing to me! Most of my floors are happy if they get vaccumed more than once a week! I love paper work too but I'm laughing at your record of the top 40 countdown! I used to chart the weather.
wow. i keep going to older post and they just keep on going. ihave been sitting here for hours. by the way - you can still take piano lessons with your boys. i took piano from Rita Whiting too. remember? i miss having a piano. that was fun - think i'll put 7 random things on my boring blog w/no pictures.
