I can't remember all the parts of my talk in church, but here are some of my favorite parts...
Elder Glen L. Pace explains it very well when he says into our lives come golden moments of adversity. This painful friend breaks our hearts, drops us to our knees, and makes us realize we are nothing without our Lord and Savior. This friend makes us plead all night long for reassurance and into the next day, and sometimes for weeks and months. But ultimately, just as surely as the day follows the night, as we remain true and faithful, this strange friend Adversity, leads us straight into the outstretched arms of the Savior.
I also love the scripture in Ether 12:27
And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness, I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humbles themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.

One of my favorite scriptures too. I know if I persist at my weaknesses they can become strengths. I have faith anyway.
