John G. OPFEL, a German peddler of Niles was killed Tuesday afternoon near Galien, being run over by a railroad train when walking on the tracks.

isnt that the name of our cousin in ohio? but they spell opfel with TWO l's. this guys spelled it like us. hmmm...interesting. did you find this guy on the LDS indexing site?
where the heck did you get that from? i just found that yesterday on the internet . . . strange. i imagine he is related. i know we have relatives in michigan.
