I have taught my kids since they were little...
Mom has always teased me about teaching the kids that if we are out of milk, you just pick something else to go in your cereal. I forgot to get milk last night, so Travis is having limeade on his Raisin Bran Crunch cereal this morning. There was no fuss, no screaming. He asked for milk, and I said oh my gosh I am sorry we are out of milk. So he asked for limeade on his cereal and ate it. No big deal. But I have to admit it is pretty funny.

hmmm. i think you made up that tradition on your own . . . i would never put anything on my cereal except milk - tho i did use whipping cream the other day. it was yum - with fresh blueberries. we were often out of milk, and you just did your own thing ??
Gross. I just tell them to have it dry. Most of the calories they need to keep their body functioning are in the dry part anyway, right?
that is DEFINETLY from Papa Bill...i could never do that. GROSS!
I am sure Daniel never told you how much I love cereal and well... eating it with anything other than milk is a crime! hahahah but I envy him for doing what I'd never do :o)
