Okay so I know I should be giving details of the day today. Here is the bare minimum BECAUSE I AM SOOOOOO TIRED! I will give more up tomorrow. We had to be at the hospital at 545 am with Jake for his eye surgery. It went great, although they had a practice "lock down situation" at the hospital which scared me hysterical! Then we got home ate some lunch, straightened up the house, did some laundry, and got ready for the football game. Derek's first game was today! He did so good! I have pics...maybe tomorrow. Then we hurried home and I am ready to crash, but the older boys are going on a camp out for scouts tomorrow so I MUST pack. So I am going to crash onto my bed and probably fall asleep before I even get up the stairs!
P.S. One more thing that bugged me today. I heard a friend a little down because her husband hadn't called or sent anything for their anniversary. Her husband is deployed as well. So I stopped by the store on the way home from scouts yesterday and bought two dozen roses, and arranged them all nice in a vase. We didn't get home from scouts till almost 930pm. Although her lights were all out, I had Derek go over and knock on her door and tell her that these flowers were on my back porch with her name on it, and that they must have been delivered to the wrong house. Well she was so happy. Well I had another friend email the husband and tell him to just claim he sent them. I thought he would say thanks, you guys rock. He was furious and said I shouldn't have meddled in his business! Are you freakin kidding me? I was so shocked that I couldn't even respond. He didn't say it to me, but to my friend that emailed him. I don't know him personally, and by the looks of it, I don't know that I care to meet him when he returns. I just saw the opportunity to make a friend smile. Anyways. Just thought that was crazy! Who would have thought!

Wow- you scared us all hysterical with your texts this morning. :) Glad everything sailed smoothly. Sounds like you had a crazy day. I am pissed 4th hand about that story. What a jerk that guy is. Of all the nerve. I read a book you left at my house. It's called a Year of Absence. Really good. I read the whole thing last night and it was so good. Made me miss you and cry that I forgot your birthday for even a day. Ahhh *sigh* maybe one of these days I will get over that. I love u....I will cross my hands for a nice slooowww weekend for you.

I am hoping like Sara's comment. That maybe the guy was just embarrassed that he forgot their anniversary. I honestly just got excited thinking how happy his wife would be. And she was, so what else matters, right?
