It is not enough to be born again in a single instance, changed in a moment. Real gospel living requires daily commitment thereafter. We continue on the gospel path, day by day doing our best to overcome, grow, learn, obey and serve. We engage in a lifelong process of spiritual rebirth by persevering with immovable faith in the Savior.
I like this thought because I get so frustrated with myself sometimes, when I forget what path I WANT to be on...when I forget the things that are most important...I lose my concentration towards my goals for myself as well as my family. Instead of beating myself up for not being perfect, I need to just refocus and be glad that I noticed I was straying from the path I want to stay on. Not really straying, that sounds bad. I mean just one of those days or weeks, where you get so busy that you forget it doesn't matter if the house is absolutely spotless at all times. The things that do matter, did I hug my kids today? Did I smile at them? Did I take time to listen to their exciting things that happened in their day? The house is always going to be there, and the cleaning is not going anywhere. There will always be cleaning for me to do in a house full of boys. I am reading that book about children's love languages and it is becoming so obvious to me that I need to slow down, and listen, and smile, and not always be in such a hurry all the time. If need be...cut some activities out. Enjoy my boys.

Thanks for the great thoughts! Stop by my blog to pick up your "rockin girl blogger" award :)
I love that you always have uplifting quotes of inspiration!! It is refreshing.
You really always seem to think of others (I am thinking of the rose/anniversary story) I'm sure the guy really just felt stupid for not doing anything and instead of being humble and greatful, he let his pride get in the way.
You'll have to post more about the love languages for children...I'm interested!
I like Sara's train of thought on this one...about the guy just being embarrassed about forgetting. I think I will go with that reasoning. Good positive thinking there Sara!
Hey I need that book!! Tell me more....
That does sound like a really interesting book. Keep on sharing. :)
