I had no idea.....

Every year the General Relief Society Meeting is held on the Saturday evening prior to the October general conference. There is no mystery or secret about this schedule. This significant meeting is held on the same Saturday every year, lasts ninety minutes, and gives the women of the Church the opportunity to hear messages prepared specifically for them by a member of the First Presidency as well as the Relief Society general presidency. Great consideration and preparation, prayer and earnest seeking precede that meeting, and it is the only time during the year when those with a stewardship for the women of the Church speak directly and specifically to them.
