Okay you ladies that sew...

Okay so I am absolutely the last one in the WORLD... that can't sew, and I need some advice. I want to learn. I am going to buy a sewing machine. I know that I want a Bernina, but there are a million of them. Whatever machine I get I am going to take the class to teach me about it. I don't want anything fancy, just the regular sewing machine. I don't really care about sewing pictures and stuff. I would love some advice...Thanks!

i bought a Pfaff on Ebay. and it is a pretty darn good machine - not nearly as expensive as a bernina. tho', i know, they are suppose to be the best. but Pfaff is also a very reputable name in sewing - from europe, made well. tho' i didn't get a owner's manual. ihave to find one online. love mom p.s. sewing is very rewarding, but only if you know your machine and know how to sew! otherwise you rip stuff out alot.

You know...I would suggest going to your nearest JoAnns (or similar store) and talking to the sewing people there. They can help you pick out the machine that you need for your specific purposes and can explain every little detail to you (over and over on various occassions if need be).

What have we been up to?
