Military ball....

Okay so I always hate pics of me, but I promised so here it is. I had fun hanging out at the ball, and meeting a bunch of new people. I went with Rhonda, the one in the brown dress. The girl in the red dress is Candace. She got a really cool award. The girl in the black dress is in their battalion, her name is Amber. The girl in the blue dress is also in their battalion. Funny story. We were all talking about being from Texas. I usually say I am from San Antonio, and Fredericksburg. I never even mention Boerne because no one knows where that is. Well this girl in the blue dress was from Boerne. We started comparing notes and she knew a lot of the same people I remember. A senior boy that I had a crush on, when I was only a 1st grader! Well she dated him. I used to buy cinnamon toothpicks and cinnamon lolly pops from his sister, just so I could go to the back of the bus and see him. I seriously was already boy crazy at that age. I swear! Anyways. So we had this amazing babysitter when we lived on Dodge Road in Boerne. She was so fun and we talk about her all the time. We had lost touch with her. I have thought about her so many times over the years, but didn't have a clue how to find her. We always laugh about our funny memories with her. Anyways I mentioned to this girl...hey do you know Denice Troskowski? I have been looking for her for years, she was our babysitter when we lived there. The girl just looked at me and stopped talking....she said well yeah....she is my sister!!! Are you kidding me? How awesome is that? Then she pulled out her cell phone and called her sister and I got to talk to her. It had been over 20 years! Holy cow! Anyways how amazing is that. I talked to her again on Saturday. I am so glad to have reunited with her, and hear how she is doing. She was such a blessing in our lives when we lived in Boerne. The Lord definitely works in mysterious ways! :)
