Today is the day...

Well today is the last day that I watch Kleigh. I am such a big bawl baby. I feel like she is mine. She was hysterical watching me take the stuff out of her drawers and put it in a box to send home with her. We even sent her bike home with her yesterday. Today she is taking her dollhouse. I feel like I am packing up one of my kids and sending her away. She keeps saying will you wait for me? When we talk about moving to Alaska. I tried to get her mom to transfer to Alaska. They don't have Alltel up there yet. Dang it!

Wow I am thankful that I could be a part of her life for a year, and she could be part of our little family. We will miss her dearly. I just wanted to show a few of my favorite pics of little miss Kleigh Mae....

1st pic is : Kleigh's first dental visit. She was so proud of her clean teeth, she showed EVERYONE for weeks!
2nd pic is: Me and Kleigh. I was fixing my hair and makeup, and she wanted her hair curled like mine. (I hadn't gotten to my makeup quite yet!)
3rd pic is :Kleigh and Derek at the pier in Corpus Christi, Texas. How sweet is that?
4th pic is: Travis and Kleigh on the pier in Bastrop, Texas at Grandma Jeanie's park. Travis was mad we caught him holding her hand on camera!
5th pic is :All five kids on the bouncy thing at Grandma Jeanie's fun park. Too bad we didn't find it till the last day we were there, and on the way out of town! :(

Wow it took all day for those pics to download. Kleigh's mom just came and picked her up. Wow that hurt! The lady across the street will watch her for the next week, so I know I will still get to see her still , but OUCH!

Oh I'm sorry! Was she living with you? She is/was totally part of the family if she even went on vacation! I love the picture of her & Derek on the pier. Such a cute little girl. Good-byes are the worst huh? I'm WAY upset about saying good-bye to this house... too many memories here.

Ah this post has me starting to cry! I really can't handle good-byes :)

saying goodbye always reminds me of ben - acting out chris farley from some movie of his - hugging and whining "i hate goodbyes!" no one likes good byes - they very simply suck. so . . . i try not to say it. it's not true anyway - you ALWAYS see that person again if not here . . . then in our next life!

have you ever thought about the pioneers - or the lds immigrants who sailed the seas to America - when they said goodbye to their families. . . they never saw them again in this life. how sad is that. when you traveled so long to go "west" you knew you could never go back and visit. . . the whole goodbye thing just made me think of that. now we have airplanes , buses, trains. we zip here and there all the time.

What have we been up to?
