To be continued...

I am sure I am forgetting lots of fun stuff. I can't wait to show all the pictures that I took. Canada was amazing. The food was so good. None of the yucky microwave, and fried. We kept eating at these little mom and pop places that were soooo yummy. One place was called Buckshot Betty's. So cute! Tiny little place. Fresh sour dough bread, we ate the entire huge loaf before our meal even got there. We camped one night in the YUKON. Pres slept with a loaded gun because of the bears in the area. Mosquitoes ate us alive, but we were stubborn, and stayed the entire night. Night is a relative term....the sun stayed up all night. It did not get dark at all. Pres couldn't sleep. I just pulled the sleeping bag up over my head. I woke up with a headache, so Pres got up and fixed the boys pancakes. It was quite the experience. We saw 12 black bears, 2 brown grizzly bears, caribou, elk, white tail deer, mule deer, moose, red fox, wild horses, the list is endless. It is so crazy to see these animals just everywhere. One bear crossed the road right in front of us. Once me and Pres got out for a closer look at the bear, and to take a picture, and the bear wouldn't look at us so Pres was making all sorts of noise, and through a rock near the bear and he definitely looked at us. I took my pic and RAN! It was funny. If I have to hear Travis say one more time....."WHEN WE GET TO ALASKA......" I think I am going to puke. I am so tired of hotels. We are looking for a house to buy since we will be up here for a while. We got to housing and they of course told us there was a two year wait , LIKE THEY ALWAYS DO. Well then today when Pres signed in they showed us an awesome house. It is a five bedroom(enough for Kleigh and her pink room with green polka dots), family room, formal living room, dining room, 3 bathrooms(I have my own bathroom again in my room!), huge kitchen. I love it. So much storage that it is ridiculous. The garage is huge! We can actually park both cars in there, as well as have work space. I think we are going to take it, and they will bring our stuff on July 2nd. Then we can take our time and look for a house. There are so many cool houses here. You really have to LOOK though. Most of them are OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE! Well I am pumped we are finally here, Pres met another CPT today that will be in his brigade. It is amazingly beautiful here and I can't wait to show the pictures we took. It was an awesome trip. I have tons more to tell, but the kids are ready to go play basketball! Can't wait for yall to come visit!
Love yall--Pres & Katy & the boys!

I can hardly wait for pictures. I can hardly wait to come visit. I'll have to do research on the very best time to come - don't want to freeze to death or be homebound or have to wear a blindfold at night! How exciting . . . get busy and post some pictures. love mom

Yeah! So glad ya'll are getting settled so quickly. That has to feel so good! I laughed out loud when you mentioned the possibility of pukeage at Travis's innocent "when we get to Alaska" comments. That kind of stuff has the ability to make me lose normal bodily function as well. Go figure...
