Okay so I can't even tell you how amazing this place is in person. The pictures do not do it justice. It would have to be amazing for me to get out in freezing rain and take pics! Between the two mountains you can see a light blue color....that is the glacier. It is so amazing. There is another one up by Palmer that you can go walk on. We haven't been up there yet. The other pics are the salmon! Can you freaking believethat these fish are just sitting there in the water. Thousands of them. HUge. I wish I could just get down there with a net. No net fishing until we become residents in January. YEah!!!! Fill up my freezer baby! This is called the salmon run. I think?

several of the ladies from 45th ward went on an alaskan cruise - dad always hated the idea of being on a ship and confined. me on the other hand, like being confined and "safe" from the bears and whatnot. . . in the wild.
