Oh my goodness. I have never seen such big snowflakes. Did you use this as your birthday wish Maggie? It has snowed a few times this week, but it didn't stick. It is going to stick today. Pres is trying to barbeque today and it is pretty funny! It is really coming down! I tried to take a pic, but it hadn't really piled up yet on the ground. It just looks like huge white blurs in the picture. Wow here comes winter....Mesa 90 degree weather is sounding reallllyyy good ! :)
You can't really tell it is snowing in my picture, but I will take another one this evening and you will see the difference. :) WELCOME TO ALASKA WINTER!

Sorry Katy, the snowflakes get even bigger. And I've been told too there is an Eskimo saying that goes "Big snowflakes, little snowfall. Little snowflakes big snowfall." and it's true. The pictures never ever show just how much snow there is so we usually have a person stand next to it. Can you see why so many people plan their travels in the middle of February to mentally handle snow from October to April? Oh and the FHE chart is absolutely fabulous- I love it!
That saying is totally true!! For Anchorage anyway. Just look at the mountains and see that it's a big pile up there!!
