Okay I wanted to save it till after Pres leaves, but I couldn't do it. I just finished the last book in the series of the Hearts of the Children books by Dean Hughes. It was called Promises to Keep...Diane's story. It was so good. I love that series and wish it would continue. I found something one of the characters said in the book that I really liked.........
"If we believe in them,
love them,
trust them,
they will see who they are through our eyes."
How beautiful is that. I truly believe that. You can't control or change anyone but yourself. Believe me I know....I am a control freak! :) You can try all you want, or you can just take my word for it and save yourself years! It talked alot about teaching your children, and then trusting them to make their own decisions. They might make mistakes like I sure did, but you always come back to what truly makes you happy. As the scriptures say..."wickedness never was happiness". It might entertain you for a while, but only to leave you miserable after. How blessed are we to have the gospel to help us train and teach and love our children. I don't know where I would even start if I didn't have the gospel. Well those are my thoughts for today. Crazy weather up here. Kids have been off school for two days now! Days are going by way too fast :( I will keep yall updated.

I loved that book too!!! You have to read the Millennial Glory series by Wendie Edwards! I picked teh first one up for 99 cents and figured if it got ruined at the pool, no big deal...but it totally sucked me in! Now 7 book's later...I am trying to fight the urge to go buy book #8...because then it will be done before I know it! It is so good and I learned so much from it!!
It is written alot like Gerald Lund's Work and the Glory series, where there are quotes and scriptural references at the end of each chapter....
Let me how you like it!!! That is what I read instead of Twilight...but tell anyone!! They don't like to hear that people won't read those books! lol
right now i'm reading Chesapeake by james michner - good but long! it's for book club . . . i didn't pick it but want to finish it before i start something else. i did enjoy work & the glory - one of these days i'll take time to read the children of the promise. there's so much out there.
