A person who can discipline himself to
Fast on a regular basis in the way God has designed
can resist every temptation, overcome any burden,
and become free from any yoke.

i just read that when you fast for 24 hrs. your body actually changes chemically . . . interesting. think it gives your metabolism a kick start. anyway, fasting is a powerful tool - but a little hard to do it properly and effectively sometimes.
Plan plan plan. Too many times we come to Saturday before Fast sunday with a lame meal. I have found that when I plan to make a real meal Saturday night that I almost always put more thought and prayer into that fast and I don't feel as deprived because I started it off with a good meal. Ramen noodles or cold cereal just aren't great ways to kick it off.
I love fasting though it's taken me some time to get back into it again. Baby birthing years threw me off.
A very worthy goal. :)
That is an awesome quote! I so was feeling the same thing after watching conference!
I love checking your blog and catching up. You are such a special fun person with very comendable goals! keep up the good work! Carolyn
ME TOO....
I've started my fasts Saturday after lunch to Sunday lunch.... For some reason it has been easier to wake up already fasting and then I am prepared better for church....
I always hated just not eating...which I've done too much because I didn't prepare...
p.s I LOVE having your little sister around!!! :)
