Who needs sleep right?

So wow! Thanks for the push mom, and Kass :) It's been a while. So much going on, life moves so fast, never ending to do list, MISSIONARY WORK ROCKS (if you haven't tried it...what are you waiting for?), summer is 24 hours of daylight, hmmm how is that working...random thoughts at 130am :) I miss my soldier, it consumes most of my thinking. I try to loose myself in service, sometimes too much. I am not good at balance. I am an all or nothing girl. If I am going to do something...I want to do it 150%. I love the FRG (Family Readiness Group) that we have built. We have such an amazing group of strong ladies. Some of them just don't realize how strong they are yet, but I guarantee they will by the end of this deployment. We are 124 days in, and we are only in the beginning ladies. A deployment does crazy, and good things to the brain. It sure makes you appreciate your man. It makes u miss the dirty socks on the floor, and the uniforms scattered everywhere, the shaving cream left in the sink, all of it. I miss ya babe. I know u won't have time to read this, but I can pretend :) I am loving Alaska, even though it is so far away. I love the scenery. I love the wildlife. I TOTALLY LOVE our Amazing WARD! I love the crazy strong ARMY gals up here. I don't tell them enough how much I appreciate them. I am big on those telepathic messages :) I just can't get this sleep thing down. I have my days and nights mixed up, and can't seem to get to bed before 2am. Hmmm. Sometimes it gets to be 4am, and I just think hmmm go to sleep, or just stay up? Preston is crazy busy. He loves it. He was born to be a soldier, and he is an amazing one. He has absolutely awesome soldiers. I am getting to know them through their families. The kids are growing up so fast. Sometimes I wish I could rewind and keep them little, and somedays I think wow....teenagers huh?! Well is this post random enough for ya? Still trying to find a time to come to AZ. Don't hate me if I don't tell u.....and I just show up on your doorstep. That is the best way for me to sneak away :) Pres said to order a laptop and just GO! Watched a great movie tonight called the Ultimate gift. very good. Missing my mom. Hating that father's day is soon. Father's Day is harder for me than any holiday. I am determined to get back into the blogging world. Have so many great friends that are amazing listeners, and constantly telling me how awesome I am. They are constantly making sure I take time for myself, offering to help, stepping in when I need them to...even before I realize I need them. I am so blessed. Heavenly Father gives me constant amazing in your face missionary opportunties. I Love it! It is such a beautiful thing to watch the comfort that the gospel brings someone. I can't get enough of it. Derek had a friend over one night, and it was time to read scriptures so this kid sits down with us to read scriptures. While everybody is getting their scriptures open..Travis looks at this kid and says...get some scriptures...they are in the basket. Then Travis gets right in his face and says how come you don't go to church? The kid says I do, every Sunday. Travis begins to tell him that he is going to the wrong church, and he should come to our church. You should have seen the look on Derek's face. HILARIOUS. WE will work on that before TRAVIS leaves on his mission I promise. :) I love my little future missionaries. GOOD NITE :)
