This is in no way breaking news. Just a thought I wanted to share for the day. I'm just feeling a bit sentimental. I read something somewhere that I have to remind myself fairly often. Here it is....
"Every man has his secret sorrows which the world knows not; and often times we call a man cold when he is only sad” -Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
How true is this. It's amazing really. It puts things in perspective doesn't it? Who are we to know the reason behind the rude remark or the selfish gesture?
My dad passed away in December and me and all my siblings and families were in Texas for the funeral. My oldest brother Ned was on his way to the funeral home to dress my dad for his burial. Which as you can imagine was a very emotional time for him. He said he was driving and yes he was probably not driving very well because he was distracted but someone behind him honked and drove up next to him and flipped him off. Every time I think of this story I just think Wow-if only that person, this anonymous person that honked and flipped him off , KNEW where my brother was going. They would have never done that. If only we, all of us, would keep this in the back of minds... how much better of a friend, a spouse, a neighbor would we be?
Just something to think about.....

Ah come now let's call it a borrowed post big sis. You can borrow from me whenever you want! :)
so true so true. i try to remember that everyone does have their sorrows and we have no need to judge them or their behavior. only our own behavior - we should always try to be tolerant if not kind. it just makes life better.
