We had a blast at home depot! U gotta try this!

Okay so my hometeacher doesn't have a partner, so instead of coming to the house, he invited me and the boys, along with his family to the home depot project of the month. It was a blast. He helped the boys make wooden airplanes from kits. Then we got to go inside and pick a can of spray paint for each kid. After they finished their airplanes, Jacob painted Travis, and Travis painted the sidewalk. For once I just let them do it, and they had a blast, and yes we made a very big mess and they won't be wearing those clothes ever again! And yes, we all were sporting one color or another of spray paint at church today! Even me! They do it once a month, and the project is always free! It was hard to help all the boys at once, so my friend Dawn came to help too. Travis waited patiently, then just decided to go on hammering nails in his plane where ever he could!

That's my kind of home teacher! We haven't had any contact us in probably like 2 years. I wonder if our Home Depot does this...

That sounds like a lot of fun. I'll have to check it out. Michael's has kid appropriate classes like that, too.

i think that is the greatest thing. it teaches you stuff that sometimes you grow up not ever learning - and really fun for kids too. i remember ned saying he and erin take the girls to those classes. how very very neat!

What have we been up to?
