Hmmm...what have we accomplished this week?

Well....still haven't left for our Texas trip like I am supposed to. Still no release from the doc for my eye. She is a great doc though. I am hoping to get eye surgery to correct my vision, and she is looking into that for me. Still haven't gotten the brakes done on the van like I planned to do this week. What in the world did I do this week? Well for one I hung a new chandelier in the dining room all by myself. I only shocked myself once with the grounding wire. I am so proud of myself. Only one tiny little problem. I can't figure out how to get the thing that covers the hole up to stick to the ceiling. I think I am going to just hot glue it, and deal with the wrath of my husband when he goes to take it down when we move. Unless anyone has any bright ideas for me?! I couldn't hang the one in the living room because it is too heavy, and will have to be done professionally. I got both of these chandeliers for under$50 each with free shipping off www.jcp.com . I really love them! I am still debating whether or not to put little chandelier lamps on it.
So my brother and my mom were teasing me, my mom says why are you putting up a chandelier when you will be moving in a year? Well that leads to my brothers question, why am I being such a tightwad, and not just paying someone to install the lighting for me? Well to answer both of your questions. We move a lot, I will be putting these up every time we move, most of the time without my husband's help. So I would like to know how to do it myself, that is what we army wives do, right?! Plus I love to learn something new! Also one of the fun things about moving so much is that you get to change up your decor at each new place! I love making wherever we are "our home". Whether we will be there six months, like in Kentucky, or three years. In Kentucky I hung pictures, and completely decorated even though everyone thought I was crazy since we would only be there six months. Hey I don't have to pack it up when it comes time to move, so why not!

Good job- I always have to install the lights in my house too, I don't know why... that looks good though, I am heading over to the site now!

What have we been up to?
