Me and Travis have been a little short on alone time lately, since I have been watching a little 2 year old little girl. So I took Travis to walmart with me at 9pm. It was late, and he should have been in bed, but you know all the things your kids want to do and see while in a walmart? Well I did them, every one. I even took him to the bathroom instead of telling him to wait till we got home. We took our time and both got a drink at the water fountain. I got the stuff I needed, and then we studied every toy he wanted to look at, then we looked at the fish, then we went to the halloween stuff and tried on all the different masks. It was pretty fun, and once I stepped outside of my controlling, always in a hurry self, it was fun and relaxing. We even stopped on the way out of Walmart and I let him ride the bucking bronco! And yes he is in pajamas with a coat on! I let him wear it just cause he wanted too!Thanks Travis. I love you.

what a lesson there is in that! we spent minutes, hours, days doing stuff that doesn't really improve the world or serve any particular purpose . . . but spending time with a child . . .especially one-on-one time is always productive and reaps great rewards in later years! Now it is Colten's turn - and Jake - and Derek.
That is so sweet- I bet that seriously meant a lot to him. I hate being in a hurry!
