So tired of the snow, ice, and cold....

Okay so yeah it is fun for a while, but now it is just annoying. The snow didn't melt like normal...it just froze. The PX is closed till further notice because of the ice storm damage. There are still 10,000 people without power here in our little town...and one of the many shelters is the gym that I go to. So yes I am VERY annoyed that my gym has been turned into a shelter. How selfish is that of me. Sorry. I know. So I am looking forward to some sunshine ! No snow boots, no scarves, gloves, hats, layering your clothes, salt tracked all through out the house, all the good stuff. My favorite pet peeve is that the mailman will not deliver your mail or packages unless your sidewalk and stairs are shoveled and salted each day. Yes I agree they are very slippery, but come on! Totally venting. I didn't shovel the stairs on Sunday because the mail man doesn't come. BIG MISTAKE! The snow froze solid, and now I can't scrape them off. I tried pouring table salt all up and down my stairs since EVERY where in town has been sold out of SALT for two weeks now. Ridculous! When the stores do get it in, if you aren't waiting there in line...you get nothing! I went to 3 different walmarts, 2 targets, and a couple of hardware stores trying to buy sleds, and even the $40 sleds are sold out EVERYWHERE. So yes I am tired of the cold weather.....and yes I am headed to Alaska next!
