I needed something for a strange wall in my hallway. I knew what I wanted in my head, but I couldn't find anything until I saw this headboard on Craigs List! :) I loved the shape, and texture! It was $30. I was a little disappointed when I went to pick it up that the plaques were plastic. I decided it would work in my favor since I wanted to hang them on the wall. I cut it apart, and started painting. I saved the wood end posts for future projects! I primed the plaques, and then painted them the awesome yellow bauhman gold that everyone is using lately. The yellow just blended into my khaki colored wall though. So I tried the slate blue, since I had some left over from the Drexel headboard. I used black glaze over them. The picture isn't very good, but they turned out great!
